Incorruptible

Incorruptible \ adjective (14th century): incapable of corruption: as
a : not subject to decay or dissolution
b : incapable of being bribed or morally corrupted”
(Merriam Webster’s Deluxe Dictionary, Tenth Collegiate Edition).

Several times the Bible uses the word “incorruptible,” “uncorruptible,” or not corruptible. Here are a few things for you to think about today as we consider this term:

  1. We are born again of incorruptible seed, by the Word of God – I Peter 1:23.
  2. We have an incorruptible God – Romans 1:23.
  3. All who are born again will receive an incorruptible body when Jesus comes for His Church – I Corinthians 15:52-54.
  4. Then we will enter upon an incorruptible inheritance in heaven – I Peter 1:4.
  5. Meanwhile, in this world, we are to manifest the incorruptible ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is the Spirit of the Lord – I Peter 3:4.
  6. And there is set before us the prize of an incorruptible crown – I Corinthians 9:25.

May we heed the exhortation, “So run, that ye may obtain” – I Corinthians 9:24.
