The Truth about Trust

July 10, 2016
Bible Text: Proverbs 3:5-6 | Preacher: Michael Portwood We all have had issues with trusting one thing or another, and sometimes we do that with God. But that's where we need to draw the line. When we fail to trust God, oftentimes we do it because we don't recognize Him as trustworthy. While many of us as Christians never would dare say it out loud that God is not trustworthy, we do say it every time we fail to trust Him. It's like saying, "God, I don't trust You. I'd rather trust myself." It's a choice we make to throw God's trustworthiness back in His face, but in our text for tonight, we see a clear blueprint for why we should trust God.

Bible Text: II Corinthians 5:18-21 | Preacher: Seth T. Mulford People around the world are on or are trying to get on a path to Heaven, but if it's not the path of God's grace, they are in for a very long and disappointing journey. There are not enough behavioral modifications we can do or enough good things we can do to get there. This is not one of those messages to make you feel good about yourself, because there is nothing you can do to earn your way to Heaven. If you are on that path, I hope today the grace of God will reach into your heart and you'll understand how truly amazing grace is.
