Bible Text: Romans 13:1-7 | Preacher: Dr. George A. Mulford | Series: Romans: The Gospel of God's Grace When we think about our role as Christians in regard to governmental authority, we realize we have several civic responsibilities. Voting is just one, and I believe it is the duty of every Christian citizen to vote. But at times politics leaves such a bad taste in the mouth that some Christians think they are rebelling against the government by refusing to vote. But, may I say, this is not rebellion; it's an act of surrender! If you don't vote, you have no right to complain. So, do your Christian duty and vote! In our text today we read the classic passage in all the Bible concerning the Christian's relationship to the government.
