Unlikely Visitors at the First Christmas

Passage: Luke 2:8-20
Service Type:

There's a danger of becoming so familiar with the Christmas story that it becomes mundane to us,  that we lose its significance because we have heard it so often. If we're not careful, the handling of this precious truth might cause us to take for granted the truth that God would become a man and dwell among us and man would behold His glory. Today in our series of Christmas characters, we are looking at the shepherds abiding in the field, just common people chosen by Almighty God to play their roles in this story. And I believe we can find our own story in theirs and that God can speak to us in our situations if we will just listen.
