The Fitting End to Mark’s Gospel
Chapter 16 verses 9 through 20 are steeped in controversy. Some Bible scholars believe these verses do not belong in the Bible, that the verses were added later by some other author, because the language in these verses is different and because some of the oldest manuscripts in existence do not include those verses. But toward the end of the first century, the early church fathers had mentioned them being in Mark. It's up to you as to what to believe, but I believe God has preserved for us exactly what we are supposed to have. So, today, we're looking at that first resurrection morning at two main events that occurred: Jesus arose and Jesus ascended.
