Lessons from Wedding Feasts and Wineskins

Passage: Mark 2:18-22
Service Type:

Chronic whiners and complainers are everywhere these days, and in our passage this morning, we're looking at a group of religious whiners who followed Jesus around, complaining about everything He said and did. They were unwilling to change and they could not accept His teachings.  If we're not careful, we can become like those old Pharisees, inflexible like old wineskins, hardened to such a state that we won't  change for anything. There are too many people like those Pharisees who are trying to make themselves acceptable to God, but Jesus has made us accepted and beloved in Him. He will place his robe of righteousness on us when we trust in and follow Him.
