I Once Was Blind, But Now I See
In our passage today, Jesus asks a question of blind Bartimaeus, and it's a question He is asking us today: "What will you have Me to do for you?" The blind man responded that he wanted to be able to see. Now, the blind man was speaking in terms of physical sight, but actually, he is representative of every one of us who is spiritually wretched, spiritually blind, and spiritual beggars in need of a touch from the Savior. That's why Bartimaeus is a picture here of salvation.
