From the Palace to the Pasture

Passage: Daniel 4:1-37
Service Type:

(NOTE: The first few minutes of the audio were not captured.)  The events in our passage tonight occurred some thirty years after the incident when the three Hebrew boys were thrown into the fiery furnace.  In our text, we see the words of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon and ruler of the world as it was known then. He had it all, but he could find no peace.  The king was given a dream as a warning; he was urged to repent. But a year later and still no repentance, God brought the punishment to bear. The lesson we need to learn is that worldly success never truly satisfies, and God's sovereignty cannot be placed in a box. We dare not trifle with God.
