Does It Bother You?

Bible Text: Acts 17:16 | Preacher: Esteban Alvarez - Missionary to Uruguay People are thinking how they’re going to make it this next week. Or they are wondering how much longer the relationship will last because things are broken at home. Or kids are thinking they can’t wait to leave home and get out of the house so life will be better. People have real-life troubles that we don’t stop to see that there are people in front of us with real hurt, real trials, and real situations. We are talking about people here, there, and everywhere who need to hear about Jesus Christ. Let us not miss an opportunity to serve others… even within the walls of our own church. But to do this, we need to have the heart of the apostle Paul. His heart was so provoked or stirred when he saw the entire city of Athens given over to idolatry. How many of your family members are lost? Or your co-workers and neighbors? Does it bother you? Our natural reaction is to say yes, but many times our actions toward even our dear ones do not show that it bothers us. If we are going to make an impact on this world, we need to stop looking at ourselves and pay attention to those who are lost.
