Grace
Bible Baptist Church began on a Wednesday evening, November 20, 1969, with seven people, under
the leadership of Rev. W.C. (Bill) Vansant. The first official service was the
following Sunday, November 24, 1969, at which 12 were present. The church
was officially organized on March 8, 1970, with 27 charter members. Later
that year, the church purchased 10 acres of property on Lewis Road. After
several relocations due to growth, the church moved to its present location
in 1974 when the first building was completed. |
Pastor George Mulford accepted the call to become the second pastor of the church
in 1991. Since that time, an educational building has been constructed, and
in September of 2001, the church dedicated a new 11,000-square-foot sanctuary
and office building. The church is now home to about 300 active members. |
